And we might add, that some of the cost of the illegals expended by the host state are costs associated with rounding them up and dumping them back across the border. Take out this cost, and the host community is even better off. Indeed, with a small amount of administration, they could probably tax these workers as well, since most of the illegals are working for cash below minimum wage.

I don't endorse this of course, but it does put it in a rather different light.
